SVNH National Indigenous Peoples Day Celebration
On June 13, SVNH hosted our first National Indigenous Peoples Day Celebration at SVNH. Many community members attended and had a lot of fun. Our event started with Elder Ray Thunderchild blessing our event and telling stories. Then we had variety of activities such as cedar bark bracelet making, feather headdress making, box making, totem designing and bannock tasting. We ended our event with an engaging drumming activity with Victor Thompson. Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate and volunteer at our event! We look forward to next year!
